Primary pulmonary tuberculosis :. This is usually symptomless and often found as a result of routine screening of contacts of an infectious index case. Symptoms are: cough, fever, reduced appetite, failure to thrive (children). More severe symptoms are caused by involvement of trachea and bronchi by lymph nodes.
