| ICN continued offering unique clinical
and research training opportunities for professional/ students from
Hong Kong, Mainland China, Taiwan, and overseas countries. Since its
establishment, ICN has hosted visits and clinical attachment for clinical
psychology trainees, clinical psychologists, nursing and health care
professionals. ICN has been invited to speak in national and international
meetings/ conferences on neuropsychology, applied neuroscience, and
cognitive rehabilitation.
Furthermore, ICN participated actively in overseasˇ¦
academic exchanges. In 2005-2006, our clinical staff visited Mayo
Clinic (USA), Mt. Washington Pediatric Hospital (USA), Anhui Medical
University (China). The academic visits served to promote the academic
and clinical collaborations between ICN and other international
academic organizations.
In May 2007, a symposium, titled ˇ§International
Symposium on Applied Neuroscience: Recovering from Brain Traumaˇ¨,
was jointly organized by ICN, Faculty of Social Sciences of HKU
and MMRC. World-renowned scholars in neuroscience and rehabilitation
were invited to speak in the symposium. Colleagues of various disciplines
of the health care system were invited to attend the symposium.
