As a composer

As a composer, I believe my missions are:

As a composer, I get much excited if my music lightens the heart of a listener, for even as short as one second. For that one second of music, I may have spent years and years to prepare it. Besides touching ones heart, music helps people to think and it promotes creativity. I care the feelings of the performers who play my music, because performers have to be moved by the music before they can possibly exercise any influence upon the listener. I also take great satisfaction from hearing the performance or recording of my music because I know my music best, much more than anyone else, and it is the highest level of music appreciation.
